Service provision and Efficiency records for Calendar year 2007:

Transgenic Production:

1. Initiated 21 independent projects for 13 Emory Investigators
2. Achieved 100% success rate (minimum of 2 founder lines for all 21 projects)
3. Generated 51 independent founder lines utilizing standard plasmid constructs in either C57BL/6 or FVB/N background.
4. Produced 15 founder lines from BAC constructs in FVB/N representing 6 independent projects
5. Total transgenic founder rate of 10% (Range from 2% to 36%)

Gene Targeting:

1. Initiated 13 gene targeting projects for 11 Emory investigators, and one external investigator.
2. Completed Projects (five):
1. 100% success rate for germline transmission.
2. Average number of correctly targeted clones: 15
3. Average targeting efficiency: 8%
4. Average number of chimeric males >90% from Blast injection: 11
