The Emory Center for Magnetic Resonance (MR) Research is a core facility of the Emory School of Medicine. The mission of the center is to provide access to state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging equipment for the Emory University community. The center provides access to: 1) a clinical 1.5 Tesla MRI in a shared arrangement with Emory University Hospital, and 2) a 4.7 Tesla small animal MRI scanner. The access can be used to pursue new techniques, improve the diagnosis, and assess disease. The ultimate focus of these activities is to provide the highest standards of health care delivery.
